The Alana Down Syndrome Center (ADSC) is a research center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that was launched in March 2019 with generous support from the Alana Foundation. For the past six years, scientists at MIT and their collaborators have been working to make life better for people with Down syndrome. The center, directed by Professor Li-Huei Tsai at MIT, brings together experts in biology, neuroscience, computer science, medicine and engineering to provide unique advances to Down syndrome research. In this webinar, you will have a chance to learn about the work of the ADSC from researchers at MIT who are studying a range of conditions that impact people with Down syndrome, such as Alzheimer’s disease, heart defects and sleep apnea. You will have a chance to ask the scientists about their work at the end of the talks.
